SIB welcomes a new President of its Foundation Council and 8 new groups

SIB is pleased to announce that Senator Felix Gutzwiller is the new President of its Foundation Council. Member of the Council of States at the Swiss Parliament where he chairs the Committee for Science, Education and Culture, Professor Gutzwiller is also Director of the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine of the University of Zurich. We are honoured and grateful to Prof. Gutzwiller for having accepted this commitment to our Institute.

SIB also welcomes eight new groups, so that our Intsitute now counts 46 research and service groups and 650 scientists from the major Swiss Schools of Higher Education, including the Universities of Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, Fribourg, Lugano and Zurich, the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology of Lausanne and Zurich, the Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG), as well as independent research institutes such as the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research.
