Contractually Limited Position in Statistical Bioinformatics
An outstanding candidate is sought for a contractually limited position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of statistical bioinformatics. Required qualifications include an undergraduate degree in the biological sciences as well as a Ph.D. in statistics or a Ph.D. in bioinformatics with a very strong emphasis on computational statistics. A proven record of research achievement in statistical bioinformatics and experience supervising students within a bioinformatics graduate program are also required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of two of the core bioinformatics graduate courses and will be expected to co-supervise several bioinformatics master's students each year while maintaining an active research program. This is a great opportunity to join a growing interdepartmental graduate program and to develop strong interdisciplinary research ties in bioinformatics. The home department of the successful candidate will depend on their qualifications and research direction.

Desired start date: July 29, 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter.
