Senior Bioinformatician
A world leader in pharmaceutical research currently have a fantastic opportunity for a senior level Bioinformatician to join the team in Shanghai.
This company have an exceptional reputation in the industry, and are widely recognised for their developments and improvements in research. This specific division is dedicated to providing advanced solutions for diseases common in China, and creating an understanding around the curing of Epigenetic causes of diseases.
Working together, we are looking for a hands-on Senior Bioinformatician to participate in data mining of large scale multi-omics data (Microarray and Next Generation Sequencing). Also, you will be contributing to the development of useful computational tools and new algorithms for wet experimental researchers. You will work in collaboration with lab scientists and IT professionals to further support drug discovery and translational research.
Ideal applicants should have a solid background in bioinformatics and computational biology, a Ph.D. in bioinformatics / computational biology / mathematics, computer science and excellent skills in R or Matlab plus other computer software languages.
Strong knowledge of epigenetics and experience in next generation sequencing data analysis is a great advantage.
