Registration to BIOINFORMATICS allows free access to all other BIOSTEC conferences.
The purpose of the International Conference on Bioinformatics Models, Methods and Algorithms is to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in the application of computational systems and information technologies to the field of molecular biology, including for example the use of statistics and algorithms to understanding biological processes and systems, with a focus on new developments in genome bioinformatics and computational biology. Areas of interest for this community include sequence analysis, biostatistics, image analysis, scientific data management and data mining, machine learning, pattern recognition, computational evolutionary biology, computational genomics and other related fields.
Venue
The conference will be held in Angers, France, on the new campus of ESEO (to be inaugurated in October 2012), a graduate school of engineering in IT, electronics, networks and telecommunications.Angers, main city of the department of Maine et Loire in the Pays de la Loire region is the capital of the historic province of Anjou and is considered one of the most beautiful cities in France with its old streets, museums, gardens, gastronomic restaurants and art festivals. Among its many notable monuments is the magnificent twin-spired Saint Maurice Cathedral (12th-13th century) and the massive Castle of Angers (early 13th century), with its moat and soaring towers. Strategically located in the Loire Valley, recently recognised by UNESCO as a world heritage for humanity, the site of the most beautiful French castles, only 1 ½ hours by high speed train (TGV) from Paris, Angers is at the heart of a knowledge-intensive region, offering a wide range of education centres (2 universities and 7 graduate engineering schools) and successful research institutes, and attracting many successful IT enterprises.
