The Position

The Bioinformatics Team has an opportunity this summer for students pursuing their BS or MS in Computational Biology or closely related field.  Lab responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- The successful candidate will perform oncology research
- Apply best practice statistical/computational methods to analyze large-scale biological data
- Expected to formulate hypothesis, develop computational tools and interpret data

Who You Are

Qualifications for this lab:
- A masters or bachelors degree in Computational Biology or similar field is required
- Expertise in the use of the R programming language for complex data analysis is required. Expertise in Java programming or relational database experience are pluses
- Experience with data generated by a variety of high-throughput molecular assays such as microarrays, next-generation sequencing or mass spectrometry is desirable
- Basic knowledge of oncology research is desirable
