Summary
A position has become available within the large bioinformatics group at the Biomedical Research Centre for Mental Health. The role will support translational bioinformatics research of an international standard through the integration of data text mined from electronic medical records with next generation sequencing, expression profiling, genomics, proteomics and other approaches to describe disease mechanisms of mental health disorders as well as identify biomarkers of progression, disease and treatment response under the general direction of the BRC-MH Director and the lead for bioinformatics.
Details
The successful candidate will have an MSc or PhD in a relevant subject and will be highly organised, proactive and have experience in the application of a range of bioinformatics tools and approaches. The ability to work independently and to operate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment is essential.
