Summary
Eagle's annual symposia started in 2011 and have been a big success. The one day event is intended for an audience of bioinformaticians, IT specialists, and innovation IT managers from across the life sciences and biotechnology industry.
This year's topic relates to the need to increase efficiency in bioinformatics teams and resources when faced with frequent arrivals of big data (e.g. NGS) and a shortage of skilled staff to manage and analyse that data. Speaker subjects will cover a variety of topics under this efficiency umbrella including automation, planning, analysis tool selection, storage, outsourcing, collaboration, and general best practice.
The first two events presented talks from a group of highly experienced senior bioinformaticians from the field, including many from industry and big pharma – the list of speakers from our 2012 symposium is still available online. 2013 is no different and we have put a lot of effort into organising what we hope is our best line-up yet.

Full registration costs £195+VAT. Discounts are available for academics and others working at non-profit organisations, please email ivan.karabaliev@eaglegenomics.com for more information. In addition to the meeting the registration includes breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks and drinks reception at the end. This will be another incredibly exciting and informative event with fantastic networking opportunities for all participants, and we can't wait to see you there.
Exhibitors
Exhibitors stands are available. These will be situated in the coffee area so exhibitors will get maximum exposure during coffee and lunch breaks to pharma, biotech and academic delegates. For exhibition details please contact Ivan Karabaliev, but please note that spaces are limited and last year they were booked quite early.
Sponsorship opportunities
Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Packages include full meeting sponsorship, food and drink sponsorship, or adverts or inserts in symposium booklets and other promotional material. If you would like to receive more information please email Ivan Karabaliev.

The Babraham Research Campus – home to the internationally-regarded Babraham Institute, Babraham Bioscience Technologies Ltd (BBT) and around 35 biomedical companies – has established itself as one of the UK's leading enterprise hubs of bioscience innovation. At the cornerstone of the campus is the Babraham Institute, which undertakes world leading life sciences research to generate new knowledge of biological mechanisms underpinning ageing, development and the maintenance of health. Babraham Bioscience Technologies Ltd (BBT) is the Institute's commercial arm, undertaking the business development function and developing the infrastructure of the campus to support start-up bioventures.
Babraham's Bioincubator Buildings offer bespoke, state-of-the-art research and development facilities, scientific support services for bioventures at any stage in the business development cycle, thereby supporting the full spectrum of science from R&D to commercial realisation. Campus companies and external organisations have access to the Technology Development Laboratory, which offers access to bench space, equipment and research services to accelerate the translation of early-stage concepts. Knowledge Exchange between the Institute's research base and industry, through collaborations, IP, licensing and access to scientific facilities or know-how, is a core philosophy at the campus.
