The Department of Immunology at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology, Berlin is strongly involved in international research projects on immunity, pathogenicity and biomarker research in tuberculosis. We are looking for ascientist (Postdoc level).
Salary (German Federal Salary Scale) up to TVöD E 14, dependent on qualification - in the field of bioinformatics, particularly
- Analysis of high throughput data (transcriptomics, metabolomics, proteomics)
- Analysis of second generation sequencing data (RNAseq and genome sequencing)
- Multivariate statistics
- Statistical programming (R)
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and have a proven record of performance in at least one of these areas. Initial appointment will be for 2 years.
Our research is integrated in successful international consortia of leading institutions from Europe, the U.S. and Africa. The position is particularly attractive for those interested in infectious disesases and high throughput data integration in an integrative, multidisciplinary international environment.
