Job Details:

A postdoctoral position is immediately available in Dr. Sushmita Roy’s research group on systems and network biology at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery (WID), University of Wisconsin, Madison.
The scientist will work in an interdisciplinary team of virologists and computational scientists to develop network-based predictive models of mammalian host response to highly pathogenic viruses by integrating diverse transcriptomics, proteomics and lipidomics datasets. A successful applicant must have extensive experience in the development and application of machine learning methods to functional genomic datasets.
The Roy group is a computational biology group interested in developing statistical machine learning approaches to dissect regulatory networks in development, disease and evolution. We are interested in developing network reconstruction, analysis and comparison methods to integrate high-throughput functional genomic datasets and build predictive models of system state in yeast and mammalian species.
