A quantitative analyst to work in the bioinformatics group as part of a team discovering proteomic signatures and identifying novel patterns in high dimensional proteomic data. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of biomarker discovery conducting quantitative statistical analyses of high dimensional data produced by Somalogic’s revolutionary proteomic measurement system. A successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, creative and innovative bioinformatics team performing statistical consulting and custom analyses for external clients as well as collaborating with internal teams on both clinical and assay development projects.
Responsiblities
The analyst works closely with external clients and the bioinformatics staff supporting assay development. Responsibilities and duties include:
- Perform timely quantitative statistical analyses of high dimensional proteomic data and generate formal analysis reports for external clients
- Work closely with external clients to understand requests, define deliverables and produce timely analysis reports that clearly communicate results
- Develop modular statistical software tools to perform complex analyses and prepare data displays for both external and internal clients
- Work closely with assay development and assay bioinformatics groups to characterize and be able to communicate analytical performance of complex multi-analyte proteomics assay
- Keep abreast of new methodologies in high dimensional data analysis through literature review, workshops and professional meetings
