Java Software Developer - Bioinformatics
A unique opportunity has become available for a Bioinformatics Web Developer to assist with the delivery of new, state-of-the-art software applications for a leading Scientific Research facility in East Anglia.
Working closely with a team of molecular biologists and R&D scientists, you will be expected to utilise your expertise in translating the team's requests into meaningful software solutions/web based applications. Strengthening the Computational Biology department, this is a superb chance to learn the latest approaches and techniques across the informatics sector, whilst liaising with some of Europe's top multidisciplinary scientists across various genomics research campaigns.
In particular, this opening would be perfect for an Informatics Software Programmer or seasoned Web Developer with strong programming skills in Javascript, Perl and HTML. Hands-on experience in MySQL is to be expected.
Working in a highly stimulating and cutting edge research environment, the successful applicant will possess a PhD in Computer Science, Statistics or Bioinformatics. It is essential that you are confident in overseeing the implementation Software and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) where enthusiasm and creativity are key!
